Calling All Shortcuts!
I was recently called into YW and am trying to get my projects done for the medallion. I have made a goal/resolution to prepare our family's 72-hour kits in their entirety. Hence, I would like all your "Know how's" and insider tips to accomplishing this. Anything you have tried, anything you've heard through the grapevine would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any tips, sorry. However, I do want to say congrats on trying to get your medallion. I got mine the week I got released from YW. It is a really good experience, and I hope you are a great example to those young women and show them that they can do it too. :) You go girl!
I was the emergency prep specialist in RS a couple years ago. I have a great list for 72 hour kits around here somewhere ... I'll try to find it and email it to you. As for tips, every conference weekend go through your 72 hour kit and update it. Change the clothes to winter/summer, rotate the food, etc. Good luck!!!
Hey there Hot Stuff!!! You know we have done things like that in the ward before. I believe that Mariah may have something for that. Or you can ask Amanda who was in charge of that at the time. I have an old one that you are welcome to come get and open to see what was in it. Let me know if you want to or if you need any help at all to accomplish your goal!!!! You are amazing as always.
We googled ideas ( http://www.dola.state.co.us/dem/public_information/emergency_kit.htm )One thing we found was that most individuals had a truck load of stuff in their kits. We found several lists and then compiled our own. We did pick up a cheap flash drive and scan in all of our must have's including family pictures that we wouldn't want to lose. And just remember food for the dog!
Hey a Movie sounds great. When are we going? Call me and let's plan, just you and me? SWEET!!!!
Love ya!!
